The beautifully restored Victorian home was built in 1883. In 1984, extensive restoration brought it back to its original grandeur. In the main inn, there are nine rooms filled with antiques and reproductions. The atmosphere is leisurely and casual. In December 1998, Carriage Way restored the "Cottage" that was built in 1885. There are two bedrooms in the "Cottage," each with its own Victorian-style bathroom. The common area and bedrooms are carefully appointed with antiques and reproductions. Carriage Way was chosen one of eight lodgings in all of Florida as "Fodor's Choices". Carriage Way was voted "One of the top Three Bed and Breakfasts in Florida" by Florida Monthly. Owned and operated by two generations of the Johnson family.
