About Georgetown Inn

Formerly the home of General George R. Smith, Georgetown Inn was built from bricks made on the property. Construction began in 1842 and finished in 1847. In 1849, the home became Georgetown Female Academy, a girl's school for his daughters and other young ladies of the town. The first teacher was hired from Boston. Georgetown Inn offers a country breakfast. Children are welcome, TV, no smoking inside. Minutes from downtown Sedalia.
