About Breitbach's Country Dining
owa's oldest food and drinking establishment was opened in 1852 by federal permit issued from President Millard Fillmore. Jacob Breitbach, Great-Great Grandfather of the present owner worked for the original owner and purchased the tavern in 1862. Since that time, the Breitbach family has been in continuous ownership of the historical establishment which is now in its sixth generation.
Breitbach's makes everything fresh from scratch. Delicious homemade soups, salads, and pies are prepared fresh daily by Mike and Cindy and their staff. In fact, customers often buy soups, salads, and desserts to take home. A full menu is offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the prices are reasonable. Complete dinners feature steaks, prime rib, chicken, and a variety of seafood entrees. A full sandwich menu is also available at all times.
